We are Nepal’s first Child Club in the name of JAGRITI Child Club, born in 1992 when there was no legal provision for registering child club in the Country. Then the Nepali legislative system was lacking on recognizing the rights of children to formally register the club as they were not entitled to have citizenship. A case was filed against such provision by the active members of JAGRITI at Nepal’s Supreme Court demanding their right to formally register the Child Club. After three years of debate, in 1998, the Court finally gave its verdict in favor of JAGRITI. Initially, established with seven children, JAGRITI was formed for the right and wellbeing of children. The decision of the Court has opened doors for Nepali children to get formal registration and today, we can see nearly about 25,000 child clubs all over the country.
We are a vibrant youth group in the name of JAGRITI Child and Youth Concern Nepal (JCYCN), advocating for the rights of children and youth for sustainable and positive impact in the community through various intervention strategies. We have built an extensive network outside and within the country with dozens of like-minded stakeholders to bring lasting peace and prosperity as we believe in partnership, collaboration and coordination. JCYCN endeavors to empower children and youth for their meaningful participation in the socio-cultural economy.

We promote the right to the development of people from all backgrounds. As a joint effort of Child Club, Youth Movement and Development Professionals, we bring JAGRITI (animation) among people to empower them to fight against all kind of limitation as we are committed to bring social and personal transformation through our boundless services to all humanity. We aim to uplift human dignity. Partnering with the community, our intervention are result orientated just because the effort of people we work for.
